c) REPORT AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR CIP 696\n23-0694 POLICE STATION IMPROVEMENTS\n(Public Works Director Joe SanClemente)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Award a construction contract for CIP 696 Police Station Improvements to R\nDependable Const Inc. in the amount of $148,790 (Attachment 2);\n2. Authorize the Director of Public Works to establish a 30 percent project contingency\namount of $44,637 and to approve contract change orders up to the amount of the\napproved contract contingency;\n3. Adopt the attached resolution entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of\nHermosa Beach Approving the Construction of CIP 696 Police Station Improvements\nPursuant to Government Code Section 830.6 and Establishing a Project Payment\nAccount (Attachment 3);"\n4. Authorize the Mayor to execute the construction contract and the City Clerk to attest,\nsubject to approval by the City Attorney; and\n5. Authorize the Director of Public Works to file a Notice of Completion following final\ncompletion of the project.
