H. Award a Design/Build Agreement with Landscape Structures, Inc. for the Douglas Park Playground\nReconstruction Project\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Sections 15301 and 15302 of the\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute an agreement with Landscape\nStructures, Inc. for the design, purchase of equipment, and installation of an inclusive\nplayground at Douglas Park for the Public Works Department. This recommended award\nis made as an exception to the competitive bidding process, pursuant to Santa Monica\nMunicipal Code (SMMC) Section 2.24.250(c) and is for an amount not to exceed\n$1,900,000 (including a 10% contingency) for two years with a one-year renewal option.\nStaff Report Printout\na.
