a) REPORT REQUEST FOR A ZONE TEXT AMENDMENT (ZTA 23-05) AND\n23-0696 ORDINANCE TO AMEND PORTIONS OF TITLE 17 OF THE\nHERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE CLARIFYING THE CITY’S\nREGULATION OF ADVERTISEMENT OF SHORT-TERM VACATION\nRENTALS IN ALL ZONES AND A DETERMINATION THAT THE\nORDINANCE IS EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA\nENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA)\n(Carrie Tai Community Development Director)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Introduce by title only and waive first reading of an ordinance of the City of Hermosa\nBeach, California approving a Zone Text Amendment (ZTA 23-05), to amend portions of\nTitle 17 of the Hermosa Beach Municipal Code clarifying the City's regulation of\nadvertisement of Short-Term Vacation Rentals (STVRs) in all zones, and determine the\nordinance is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Attachment\n1); and\n2. Direct the City Clerk to publish a summary ordinance.
