Community Services and Parks, re: State of California, Department of Industrial\nRelations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, State Apprenticeship Expansion,\nEquity, and Innovation Grant in the amount of $1,408,000 from May 1, 2023, to June\n30, 2025 to continue the expansion of Early Care & Education Registered\nApprenticeship program\n1. Motion to Approve a contract amendment and accept additional funds from the State\nof California, Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards,\nState Apprenticeship Expansion, Equity, and Innovation Grant (SAEEI) in the amount\nof $1,408,000 from May 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025 to continue the expansion of Early\nCare & Education Registered Apprenticeship program for a grant total amount of\n$2,000,000, as approved and recommended by the Verdugo Workforce Development\nBoard; Approve the additional award of SAEEI grant funds to the ECEPTS program, a\nproject of The Tides Center, in the amount of $1,267,200 from May 1, 2023 to June\n30, 2025, for a total contract amount of $1,800,000 as approved and recommended\nby the Verdugo Workforce Development Board; and Authorize the City Manager, or a\n12 12 23\n2 CC\ndesignee, to execute all agreements, certifications, and documents necessary to\naccept and implement the funding\n2.
