E. PURCHASE OF FOUR 2024 FORD HYBRID MAVERICK TRUCKS USING\nSOUTH COAST AIR QUALITY MANAGEMENT DISTRICT (AQMD) FUNDS\nFOR A TOTAL AMOUNT OF $159,032.88\nThe Parks Division is in need of an additional vehicle to help with the daily\nworkload between City-owned parks and buildings. One Maverick will be used\nas a general-purpose vehicle for transporting staff, tools, and materials. Two\nMavericks will be assigned to the Public Works Department inspectors for\ntransporting staff and equipment to construction and inspection sites\nthroughout the City. One Ford Maverick will become a pool car and general-\nduty vehicle at Public Works. Funds are available in the fiscal year 2023-24\napproved budget under Account Code 124-800-51-99-767.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the state CEQA Guidelines, as acquisition and\nreplacement of city vehicles is not an activity that creates a reasonable possibility\nof significant impact on the environment.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council waive formal bidding and authorize the\nCooperative Purchase Agreement consistent with the piggyback bidding\nrequirements pursuant to Municipal Code Section 34.35 and authorize the City\nManager to approve a purchase order with National Auto Fleet Group in the\namount not to exceed $159,032.88 from Special Project AQMD budget account\n124-800-51-99-767.
