37. Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Charging Grant Application\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Internal Services to accept\n$6,000,000 in grant funding from the California Energy Commission’s\nConvenient, Hight Visibility, Low-Cost Level 2 Charging (CHILL-2) Program, to\nimplement the County’s Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging for Los Angeles\nprogram by installing 300 EV charging stations across the underserved\ncommunities within the County; find that the proposed action is not a project\nunder the California Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director of\nInternal Services to take the following actions: (Department of Internal\nServices) APPROVE 4-VOTES\nExecute contractual agreements or amendments, exercise the extension\noptions in accordance with the contract terms, make necessary changes\nwhich affect the scope of work, contract term, contract amount,\npayments, or any other term or condition included under this contract\nagreement, with contractors, community-based organizations, and/or\nother public agencies to implement and administer the CHiLL-2 Program;\nApply for future grants and incentives and to accept up to $2,500,000\nper award through Fiscal Year 2027-28 and execute subsequent grant\nand incentive program agreements for the purposes of addressing\nbarriers which hinder the development and widespread use of EVs\nthroughout the County, with advance notification to be provided to the\nBoard before acceptance of each grant;\nExecute Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Agreement for Installation\nand Conveyance of Facilities forms for seven County locations, as well\nas any future conveyance forms required by SCE.
