ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR ADDITIONAL SCOPE OF WORK FOR THE\nPICKLEBALL COURT PROJECT AT SMITH PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF\n$13,200 PLUS A 10% CONTINGENCY\nOn July 18, 2023, City Council approved $18,300 towards work at Smith Park.\nThis item is requesting additional funds to the existing contract with Taylor\nTennis Courts, Inc. to include installation of four permanent pickleball courts on\nthe east Court and additional pickleball play lines on the west court at Smith\nPark. The revised quote to complete the additional scope of work at Smith Park\nis $31,500. Due to the fact that this is an expansion of resources, with the\naddition of four permanent pickleball courts, this is an eligible expense to Parks\nDevelopment Impact Fee account.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines, as installation and\nresurfacing of tennis/pickleball courts in an existing City Park does not\nreasonable create a possibility that the work will have any significant affect to\nthe environment.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the additional Scope of Work\nas mentioned in Attachment A of the staff report, increase the purchase order\namount by $13,200, plus a 10% Contingency for a total increase of $14,520,\nfrom Impact Fund account 124-850-40-97-817, and authorize the City Manager\nto execute the contracts with Taylor Tennis Courts, Inc. accordingly.
