Whittier Narrows Recreation Area Play Area D-9 Replacement Project and\nKenneth Hahn Regional Climate Resilience Amenities Project Grant Funds\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation, as an agent\nof the County, to accept grant funds, conduct all negotiations, and execute and\nsubmit all documents including, but not limited to, applications, agreements,\nrestrictions, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary, for\nthe completion of the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area Play Area D-9\nReplacement Project from the Regional Park and Open Space District's annual\nallocation funding under the Los Angeles County Safe, Clean Neighborhood\nParks, Open Space, Beaches, Rivers Protection and Water Conservation\nMeasure of 2016, in the amount of $3,500,000, and the Kenneth Hahn State\nRecreation Area Regional Climate Resilience Amenities Project, $2,755,000\nfrom the State of California Office of Planning and Research Integrated Climate\nAdaptation and Resiliency Program (4); and find that the proposed actions are\nnot a project under the California Environmental Quality Act.
