61. On-Call Tire Recycling Program Services Contract\nRecommendation: Approve and award a contract to The Peterson Group, Inc.\nfor the provision of on-call tire recycling program management services for a\nterm of two years with two one-year renewal and to six month-to-month\nextension options, for a maximum potential contract term of 54 months and a\nmaximum potential contract amount of $2,379,379 with funding for those\nservices are included in the solid waste management fund and road fund fiscal\nyear 2023-2024 budget; find that the contract work is exempt from the provision\nof the California Environmental Quality Act; and authorize the Director of Public\nWorks to take the following actions: (Department of Public Works) APPROVE\nExecute and renew the contract for each extension option if, in the\nopinion of the Director, The Peterson Group, Inc. has successfully\nperformed during the previous contract period, and the services are still\nrequired, approve and execute amendments to incorporate necessary\nchanges within the scope of work, and suspend work if it is in the best\ninterest of the County to do so; and\nAnnually increase the contract amount up to an additional 10% of the annual\ncontract amount, which is included in the maximum potential contract amount\nfor unforeseen additional work within the scope of the contract, if required.\n(23-4463)
