42. One Family Preservation Services Sole Source Contract Amendment\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Children and Family Services to\nexecute an amendment, with Hillsides (Contractor) to reallocate funds from a\ncontractor who sunset their Family Preservation (FP) Contact in the Pomona\nService Area (PSA), with the remaining contractor in the PSA to receive funds\nfrom the expired contract in the amount of $503,400 of which $125,634\nrequires Board approval with funding included in the Department’s Fiscal Year\n(FY) 2023-24 adopted budget and to be included in the Department’s\nsubsequent budget requests; and authorize the Director to take the following\nactions: (Department of Children and Family Services) APPROVE\nExecute amendments to the FP contracts for the reallocation of funds\namong the FP contracts, including unspent funds, to meet unanticipated\ndemands, or to increase or decrease the Maximum Annual Contract\namount up to 10% when such a change is necessitated by additional and\nnecessary services, provided that funding is available;\nExecute amendments to FP contractors willing to perform work left from a\ncontractor that chooses to sunset or terminate their contract by\nincreasing the Maximum Annual Contract amount not to exceed 75%,\nwith such an increase to be reallocated among the remaining contracts\nproviding services in the same regional service area for current and\nfuture extension periods, provided that funding is available;\nExecute amendments to the FP contracts for any mergers, acquisitions,\nor changes in ownership, for any revisions required by changes in local,\nState and Federal regulations, or for necessary changes meet the needs\nof the County’s FP program; and\nTerminate FP contracts for contractor default, if necessary.
