56. Drowning Detection System Support and Maintenance Services Sole\nSource Contract\nRecommendation: Authorize the Director of Parks and Recreation to execute a\nsole source service contract with AngelEye Technologies, Inc., for technical\nsupport, system maintenance, and operation of a Drowning Detection Systems\nat Jesse Owens Community Regional Park and Greater Whittier Regional\nAquatic Center (2 and 4), for an initial term of five year with one five-year\nextension option, for a total contract amount of $449,400 the total contract\namount to include a one-time cost of $37,000 to upgrade the existing wireless\nnetwork at Jesse Owens Community Regional Park; execute an amendment for\ntechnical support, system maintenance, and operation of a Drowning Detection\nSystems at the San Gabriel Valley Aquatic Center (1), upon substantial\ncompletion of the Aquatic Center, at an amount not to exceed $49,110 annually;\nexecute future amendment(s) to exercise the extension option, increase or\ndecrease the total contract amount by no more than 10%, suspend or terminate\nthe contract, or assign rights or delegation of duties, should the recommended\nContractor merge, be acquired, or otherwise change entities, if deemed\nnecessary, provided that sufficient funding is available; and find that the\nproposed actions are not a project under the California Environmental Quality\nAct.
