7. AWARD CONTRACT: ALHAMBRA PARK POOL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT – F2M22-\n37, N2M23-121, C2M24-3, M2M24-5\nOn October 9, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of a Notice Inviting Bids for\nthe Alhambra Park Pool Improvement Project. On November 9, 2023, staff led a\nmandatory pre-bid job walkthrough for the Project and nine contractors attended. On\nDecember 14, 2023, the City Clerk received one bid for the Project. The bid received from\nTom’s Construction is within the Project’s grant funding limits which will be provided by\nthe Los Angeles County Regional Park and Open Space District.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Tom’s Construction in the amount of\n$712,000 for the Alhambra Park Pool Improvement Project; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
