3. AUTHORIZE RFP: ECONOMIC AND MARKET ANALYSIS CONSULTING SERVICES\n– F2M24-20, RFP2M24-1\n3\n1-8-24\nOne of the 2023 Strategic Plan’s objectives is to develop an Economic Development\nAction Plan. The Plan will create a comprehensive and integrated approach to economic\ndevelopment that strengthens the City’s economic base. The vision will focus on the\ncommunity’s present and future economic values over the next four years. Meanwhile, the\ngoals will be a more tangible reflection of the vision and provide specific framework to\nimplement economic development policies and programs.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize staff to circulate a Request for\nProposals (RFP) to prospective firms and consultants to conduct economic and market\nanalysis services for the Economic Development Action Plan; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
