9. AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A RENEWAL OF A LEASE FOR\nPARKING ON CITY PROPERTY NEAR GARFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TO THE\nALHAMBRA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT – F66-137, C67-32, C2M24-5, M2M24-7\nThe Alhambra Unified School District has utilized a portion of City owned land located\nadjacent to the Garfield Elementary School for parking since 1967. Recently, Denise\nJaramillo, the Superintendent of the Alhambra Unified School District, requested the lease\nbe renewed. There is no cost to the City for the Alhambra Unified School District’s\ncontinued use of the land, as such it is recommended that the lease be continued at no\nfee.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a\nrenewal of a lease of land to the Alhambra Unified School District for a period of 5 years,\nwith two additional 5-year options at no cost (C2M24-5), subject to final language approval\nby the City Manager and City Attorney.
