12. WIRELESS DATA, VOICE, AND ACCESSORIES CONTRACT WITH T-\nMOBILE - The City of Santa Clarita relies on wireless services from various service\nproviders to equip City Staff with mobile phones and other devices to provide City\nservices to its residents. Following a recent review of service offerings from wireless\nservice providers, this item makes a recommendation to approve the use of a NASPO\nValuepoint contract to transition the majority of the City's mobile fleet to T-Mobile and\nreceive new mobile devices as a result.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Approve the use of a “piggyback” contract through the NASPO Valuepoint\nCooperative Contract #MA176 for Wireless Data, Voice, and Accessories from T-\nMobile for a total contract amount not to exceed $225,000 per year through the\nremaining term of the NASPO agreement, which is valid through May 2025.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute additional renewals, not to exceed\n$225,000 per year, in coordination with contract extensions executed by the State of\nCalifornia and T-Mobile to NASPO Valuepoint Cooperative contract #MA176.\n3. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all contracts and associated\ndocuments, subject to City Attorney approval.\nThis time has been set aside for any speakers that have turned in speaker cards and were not\nheard in the first thirty minutes allotted to address the City Council on items that are NOT on the\nagenda.
