RESOLUTION NO.      - Award of ten (10) five-year Multiple Award Task Order Contracts to [i] Rivers & Christian Inc., [ii] Paul Murdoch Architects Inc., [iii] Jenkins/Gales & Martinez Inc. dba JGM, [iv] City Design Studio LLC, [v] Steinberg Hart + AE3 Partners LAWA MATOC Joint Venture, [vi] HNTB Corporation, [vii] AECOM Technical Services Inc., [viii] RS&H California Inc., [ix] M. Arthur Gensler Jr. and Associates Inc., and [x] Burns & McDonnell Western Enterprises Inc.:  With two (2) one-year renewal options, covering planning and design services, on as-needed basis, at Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, and Palmdale landholdings, for total combined contract authority not to exceed $100,000,000 for planning and design efforts \nPURPOSE: The purpose of the requested action is to award Multiple Award Task Order Contracts to Rivers & Christian, Paul Murdoch Architects, JGM, City Design Studio, Steinberg Hart AE3 Partners, HNTB, AECOM, RS&H, Gensler, and Burns & McDonnell to provide comprehensive planning and design services to various airfield, landside, terminals, utility and infrastructure, and other capital improvement projects at Los Angeles International Airport, Van Nuys Airport, and Palmdale landholdings. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; approve Award of Contracts to [i] Rivers & Christian Inc., [ii] Paul Murdoch Architects Inc., [iii] Jenkins/Gales & Martinez Inc. dba JGM, [iv] City Design Studio LLC, [v] Steinberg Hart + AE3 Partners LAWA MATOC Joint Venture, [vi] HNTB Corporation, [vii] AECOM Technical Services Inc., [viii] RS&H California Inc., [ix] M. Arthur Gensler Jr. and Associates Inc., and [x] Burns & McDonnell Western Enterprises Inc.; authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said ten (10) Contracts after approval by the Los Angeles City Council and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and delete authority to the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute the two (2) one-year renewal options.
