RESOLUTION NO.      - Award of three (3)-year Contract to James T. Edson dba NuView Environmental:  Covering supply and delivery of ultraviolet lamps and fixtures for Los Angeles World Airports, for cost not to exceed $675,000 \nPURPOSE: The purpose of the requested action is to establish a contract for ultraviolet (UV) lamps and fixtures for Los Angeles World Airports. Those specialized lamps produce UV light that is effective in the disinfection of air and surfaces, thereby promoting the health and well-being of passengers and employees, as well as maintaining clean hygienic cooling coils in air conditioning units. The germicidal qualities of UV lamps are simple, effective ways to curb bacterial and viral growth. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve Award of Contract to James T. Edson dba NuView Environmental; and authorize the Interim Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said Contract after approval as to form by the City Attorney.
