RESOLUTION NO.      - Funding of not to exceed $3,200:  For one (1) member of the Los Angeles International Airport Community Noise Roundtable and one (1) member of the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council to attend the University of California at Davis 2024 Aviation Noise & Emissions Symposium on March 2-4, 2024 \nPURPOSE: The proposed action will approve the registration fees and related travel costs for two (2) community members--one from the Los Angeles International Airport Community Noise Roundtable and one from the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council, to attend the University of California at Davis 2024 Aviation Noise & Emissions Symposium. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; approve funding of not to exceed $3,200 for a member of the Los Angeles International Airport Community Noise Roundtable and a member of the Van Nuys Airport Citizens Advisory Council to attend the University of California at Davis 2024 Aviation Noise & Emissions Symposium; and authorize the Interim Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to pay the related expenses.
