6. APPROVAL TO AMEND CONTRACT FOR PARKING HEARING OFFICER SERVICES\n– F2M24-16, K2M18-385, M2M24-11\nOn January 1, 2019, the City entered into an agreement (K2M18-385) with Joseph Malette\nto conduct Parking Hearing Officer services for two years in an amount not to exceed\n$45,000. The term of the agreement has since been amended to extend the term through\nJune 30, 2024; however, there has not been an increase to the contract amount. The\nproposed amendment for an additional $30,000 will result in a total contract amount of\n$75,000. The services under this contract are highly specialized; therefore, amending the\ncontract would be in accordance with the provisions cited under section 3.38.050 for the\nAlhambra Municipal Code. The proposed amendment also extends the term of the\nagreement through June 30, 2027.\n4\n1-22-24\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a contract amendment, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to the agreement between the\nJoseph Mallette and the City of Alhambra for ongoing Parking Hearing Officer services,\nnot to exceed an additional $30,000 through June 30, 2027; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
