CONTRACT AMENDMENT REGISTER DATED JANUARY 23, 2024\nSummary:\nThe Contract Amendment Register is a listing of proposed contract amendments\nand project change orders eligible for streamlined processing based upon the\nfollowing criteria as documented in the City’s Purchasing Policy:\n· Funds have been authorized as part of the adopted fiscal year Operating\nBudget;\n· Staff are satisfied with the goods/services received to date; and\n· The City Manager reviewed and approved each amendment for\nstreamlined processing.\nThe contract amendment being presented for City Council consideration is as\nfollows:\nAllied Universal Security Services, Incorporated would provide armed security\nofficers after-hours and on Independence Day at City parks and facilities.\nAmendment No. 8 would extend the term through December 31, 2024, and\nincrease the total compensation by $97,182 for a new not-to-exceed amount of\n$763,870. Staff plans to issue a Request for Proposal for these services later\nthis year.\nStrategic Plan Goal(s):\nGoal No. 2 Community Safety: Maintain community safety by supporting\npublic safety services and increasing emergency preparedness.\nRecommendation:\nAuthorize the Contract Amendment Register dated January 23, 2024.
