p) REPORT ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PORTIONS OF TITLE 17\n24-0014 OF THE HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE CLARIFYING THE\nCITY’S REGULATION OF ADVERTISEMENT OF SHORT-TERM\nVACATION RENTALS IN ALL ZONES AND A DETERMINATION\nTHAT THE ORDINANCE IS EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA\nENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT (CEQA)\n(Carrie Tai Community Development Director)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Waive the full second reading and adopt by title only an ordinance of the City of\nHermosa Beach, California amending portions of Title 17 of the Hermosa Beach\nMunicipal Code clarifying the City's regulation of advertisement of Short-Term Vacation\nRentals (STVRs) in all zones, and determine the ordinance is exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) (Attachment 1); and\n2. Direct the City Clerk to print and publish a summary ordinance in a newspaper of\ngeneral circulation within 15 days following adoption and post a copy on the City's\nbulletin for 30 days
