L. AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW VELOCITY 107’\nAERIAL TRUCK AND THREE (3) VELOCITY TRIPLE\nCOMBINATION PUMPER TRUCKS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO\nEXCEED $6,202,592.49\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Approve Cooperative Purchase Agreement 24C009\n(Attachment A) with South Coast Fire Equipment to purchase\none (1) new velocity 107’ aerial truck and three (3) new velocity\ntriple combination pumpers in an amount not to exceed\n$5,638,720.45 for the initial five-year term beginning February\n1, 2024, continuing through January 31, 2029, with a one-year\nextension option at the City's sole discretion.\n2. Delegate authority to the City Manager or designee to approve\nand execute change orders up to a total amount of\n$563,872.05 (10%);\n3. After delivery of the new vehicles, declare existing vehicles\nbeing replaced as surplus and authorize the Fleet Maintenance\nManager to sell at public auction in accordance with Chapter\n7.07 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code; and,\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all\nnecessary documents.
