RENEWAL OF TORRANCE PIPELINE COMPLANY, LLC, PIPELINE FRANCHISE\nComments:\nTorrance Pipeline Company LLC is requesting to extend the existing pipeline agreement for an\nadditional 15 years with annual payments to the municipality in accordance with the Public Utilities\nCode Section 2135. a new Ordinance, resolution and public hearing is required in order to\ncomply with Public Utilities Code Section 6232. (CD)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\nApprove a resolution declaring its intention to extend the franchise agreement for continued\nuse of existing pipeline, and\nSet a public hearing date concerning renewal of the franchise agreement for the next regular\nmeeting March 7, 2023\nDirect City Clerk to publish notice of same within the local newspaper 15 days after\napproval of resolution.
