APPROVAL AND AUTHORIZATION TO SOLICIT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR\nTHE CITY OF LYNWOOD ANNUAL SANITARY SEWER MAINTENANCE SERVICES\nComments:\nThe City’s wastewater collection system is managed by the City of Lynwood Public Works\nDepartment. The sewer utility provides sewer collection services to its residential, commercial,\nand industrial customers within the City’s boundary. Due to increased responsibilities in required\npotable water operation tasks and reduction in staffing, the tasks of sewer cleaning have been\ndelayed and behind in the regular scheduled tasks. Staff recommends that the City Council\nauthorize the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to obtain services for a qualified vendor\nto perform this work. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A RESOLUTION\nOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING\nSTAFF TO RELEASE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD\nANNUAL SANITARY SEWER MAINTENANCE SERVICES.” (PW)
