5. AWARD CONTRACT: PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE\nSEWER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT ON ALMANSOR STREET – F2M23-74,\nRPF2M23-29, C2M24-9, M2M24-17\nOn November 13, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of a Request for\nProposals RFP2M23-29 for professional engineering design services for the Sewer Main\nReplacement Project on Almansor Street. Staff reviewed a total of four proposals. West\n4\n2-12-24\nand Associates Engineering, Inc. was selected based on their distinguished qualifications,\nexperience, reputation, responsiveness, availability, and cost.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra and\nWest and Associates Engineering, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $43,500 for\nengineering design services for the Sewer Main Replacement Project on Almansor Street;\nand, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
