7. Mines Avenue Storm Drain Improvements Project (CIP No. 50114) – Award of\nConstruction Contract. (500)\nRecommendation:\n1. Award a Construction Contract, in a form approved by the City Attorney\nunder the City’s piggyback purchasing procurement procedures for an\namount not-to-exceed $131,147 to Vortex Services, LLC for the Mines\nAvenue Storm Drain Improvements Project, CIP No. 50114, and authorize\nthe City Manager to execute the contract;\n2. Authorize the City Manager or designee to process change orders, as\nneeded, in an amount not-to-exceed $19,700 (approximately 15% of the total\ncontract amount) for construction contingency;\n3. Amend the fiscal year (FY) 2023-24 Adopted Budget by appropriating\n$230,000 in Measure W Funds (Fund 209) to Account No. 209.70.7300-\n54500-50114; and\n2-13-2024 Agenda City Council\n4. Approve the Notice of Exemption (NOE) for the subject project and authorize\nthe City Clerk to file the NOE with the County Recorder, in accordance with\nthe California Environmental Quality Act.\nAgreement No. ________
