CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION 24-123,\nREPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 22-83 AND AMENDING THE CITY OF\nSOUTH EL MONTE'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE\nThis agenda item intends to complete the Code Review of the City of\nSouth El Monte Conflict of Interest (COI) code. The last time the City of\nSouth El Monte (“City”) revised its COl Code was on October 11, 2022.\nSince that time, there have been several new designated positions added.\nThis change required the amendment of the City’s COI Code. The City\nClerk and Interim Director of HR/Risk Management worked with the City\nAttorney, Agency Directors, and officers to determine those positions\nrequiring disclosure of financial interests.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council proceed with\nthe completion of the Code Review for the City and consider adopting\nResolution No. 24-123, repealing Resolution No. 22-83 and amending the\nCity's Conflict of Interest Code which formally codifies the revisions to the\nCode for the City.
