8. APPROVAL OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON\n(SCE) FOR A STREETLIGHT EASEMENT ALONG RAYMOND AVENUE, VINE\nSTREET TO ALHAMBRA ROAD – F2M13-29(B), C2M23-10, M2M23-17\nThe City installed streetlights on Raymond Avenue in the area of Alhambra Park in the\nmid 1990’s. In order to do this, the City entered into a License Agreement with SCE to\nencroach 3 feet upon their property to install the streetlights and related infrastructure. The\ncurrent License Agreement expires March 31, 2023. The new agreement is for a five-year\nterm beginning April 1, 2023 through and including March 31, 2028. There are no fees\nassociated with the execution of the agreement as the use of the easement is for public\nbenefit.\nRecommended Action: City Council take the following actions: (1) approve the\nexecution of a Streetlight License Agreement with Southern California Edison for the use\nof their easement on the east side of Raymond Avenue from Vine Street to Alhambra\nRoad; (2) authorize the City Manager to execute said Agreement between Southern\nCalifornia Edison and the City of Alhambra; and, (3) direct staff to undertake the steps\nnecessary to finalize Council’s action.
