AWARD CONTRACT: ALHAMBRA PARK RESTROOM PROJECT – F2M22-66,\nN2M22-142, C2M23-9, M2M23-16\nOn December 12, 2022, the City Council authorized the circulation of a Notice Inviting\nBids for the Alhambra Park Restroom Project. On January 26, 2023, the City Clerk\nreceived eight bids for the Project ranging from $342,930.00 (Sanz Construction Inc.) to\n$500,000.00 (At Your Service Construction & Energy Inc.). Staff reviewed all the bids and\nfound the bid from Sanz Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid. Sanz\nConstruction, Inc. has the necessary licenses to complete the project, has worked on\nprevious projects in Alhambra and had favorable reference checks.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Sanz Construction, Inc. for the\nAlhambra Park Restroom Project in the amount of $342,930.00; determine the project is\nexempt from CEQA pursuant to CEQA guidelines Section 15301; and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
