RESOLUTION NO. - Award of one (1)-year Contract to S&L Specialty Construction, Inc.:\nCovering construction services for Group 2 of the Los Angeles International Airport Residential\nSound Insulation Program, for cost not to exceed $4,943,900\nPURPOSE: Approval of the contract will allow Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) to initiate\nsound insulation construction for 74 dwelling units within the Los Angeles International Airport\nResidential Sound Insulation (LAX-RSI) Program. Said 74 dwelling units comprise Group 2 in\nthe City of El Segundo for the LAX-RSI Program that LAWA launched in September 2022.\n4.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport\nCommissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.f and Article III, Class 1 (1) of the Los Angeles\nCity CEQA Guidelines; approve Award of Contract to S&L Specialty Construction, Inc.; further\napprove appropriation of $4,943,900 for implementation of the project; and authorize the Chief\nExecutive Officer, or designee, to execute said Contract after approval as to form by the City\nAttorney.
