7. AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO WAISMAN CONSTRUCTION INC. FOR THE\nCIVIC CENTER PARKING GARAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR SECURE\nVEHICLE PARKING PROJECT; AND\nAPPROVAL OF A CORRESPONDING PURCHASE ORDER IN THE NOT-TO-\nEXCEED AMOUNT OF $837,200; AND\nAPPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR WITH RESPECT\nTO DESIGN CRITERIA.\nComment: Staff recommends that City Council approve: 1. The award of a contract\nto the lowest responsible bidder, Waisman Construction Inc. for the Civic Center\nParking Garage Improvements for Secure Vehicle Parking Project in the amount of\n$728,000; and 2. A construction contingency in the amount of $109,200 (15%); and\n3. The plans and specifications as detailed in the bid documents, which are adopted\nand approved with respect to design criteria; and 4. A purchase order in the not-to-\nexceed amount of $837,200.
