13. BID & PURCHASE - AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY (20) NEW FORD\nEXPLORERS FROM PFVT MOTORS INC. FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT\nThat the City Council:\na. Authorize an Exception to Competitive Bidding pursuant to Corona Municipal\nCode Section 3.08.140(C) that competitive bidding has been satisfied based\nupon the reasons provided in “Basis for Determination of Competitive Bidding”\nAgenda\nwith PFVT Motors Inc., for the purchase of twenty (20) new vehicles for the\nPolice Department in the amount of $1,312,352.\nb. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to issue a purchase order to PFVT\nMotors Inc. in the amount of $1,312,352.\nc. Authorize an appropriation in the amount of $370,012 from the Fleet\nReplacement Fund 684 to the Operating & Maintenance Vehicle Procurement\nProject No. 68341 for the purchase of twenty (20) vehicles for the Police\nDepartment and upfitting.\nd. Authorize a cash transfer in the amount of $370,012 from the General Fund 110\nto the Vehicle Replacement Fund 684 to offset the additional costs of the twenty\nvehicles and upfitting.
