11. AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CITYWIDE\nSAFETY ACTION PLAN\nRecommendations:\n(1) Authorize the City Manager to accept a $200,000 Safe\nStreets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant from the U.S.\nDepartment of Transportation Federal Highway\nAdministration (FHWA) for the preparation of a Citywide\nSafety Action Plan;\n(2) Appropriate the grant award of $200,000 for the\npreparation of a Citywide Safety Action Plan with a\nmatching increase in estimated grant revenue;\n(3) Appropriate $68,068 from available fund balance in the\nCapital Improvement Fund for the City’s contribution\n(4) Authorize the City Manager to execute a Consultant\nServices Agreement with Fehr & Peers in the amount of\n$248,068 for the preparation of a Citywide Safety Action\nPlan;\n(5) Authorize the City Manager to approve a contingency\namount not to exceed $20,000 for change orders or\nadditional services that may be required; and\n(6) Find the action exempt from the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to State\nCEQA Guidelines Section 15262.
