Item No. 20. 2022-903 CONSIDER APPROVING TWO AGREEMENTS WITH THE SOUTH BAY WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD (SBWIB), INC.: (1) AN AGREEMENT TO SERVE AS A LOS ANGELES COUNTY YOUTH@WORK PROGRAM WORKSITE; AND (2) AN AGREEMENT TO OPERATE AS A WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) PAID WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAM WORKSITE AGENCY (CITY COUNCIL) Recommendation: TAKE the following actions: 1. APPROVE the proposed Los Angeles County Youth@Work Worksite Agreement with South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (Exhibit No. 1). 2. APPROVE the proposed WIOA Paid Work Experience Program Worksite Agency Agreement with the South Bay Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (Exhibit No. 2). 3. AUTHORIZE the City Manager or his designee to execute both proposed agreements following approval as to form by the City Attorney.
