Item No. 28. 2023-0151 STATE CONTROLLER'S OFFICE AUDIT REPORT OF THE CITY OF CARSON INTERNAL CONTROLS (CITY COUNCIL) Recommendation: TAKE the following actions: 1. DEVELOP a comprehensive action plan to address the deficiencies. 2. ADOPT the State Controller's Office recommendations 3. ESTABLISH a standing audit committee 4. RE-EVALUATE the City's current City Attorney (legal services) contract 5. ESTABLISH policies and procedures to ensure that contracts follow a competitive procurement process 6.
