9. Amendment to Measure R Funding Agreement (#MR312.69). Amendment Number 1 between the City of Hawthorne and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to Design Highway Improvements to El Segundo Boulevard from La Cienega Boulevard to Ocean Gate Avenue. RECOMMENDED MOTION: Staff recommends that the City Council accept the grant and approve Amendment No. 1 and authorize the City Manager to execute the Funding Agreement and appropriate $700,000 from the General Fund balance to Account Number 291-5502-463-40014 for the project for design improvements for El Segundo Boulevard from La Cienega Boulevard to Ocean Gate Avenue.
