REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEM REGARDING GUN VIOLENCE RESTRAINING ORDERS (“GVRO”) AND POTENTIAL ACTIONS FOR REDUCING WEAPONS WITHIN THE CITY’S JURISDICTION It is recommended that the City Council consider: (1) Receive and file this report; (2) Direct the City Manager and City Attorney to propose potential actions on a future meeting agenda regarding what the City can do to increase public awareness regarding GVROs and/or take action to reduce the number of guns within the City’s jurisdiction; and (3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
