6-A. A RESOLUTION DECLARING MAY 6, 2023 THE DAY OF INCLUSION OF THE 141ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE PASSAGE OF THE CHINESE EXCLUSION ACT AND RECOGNIZING AND HONORING THE MONTH OF MAY 2023 AS ASIAN AMERICAN AND PACIFIC ISLANDER HERITAGE MONTH (REQUESTED BY COUNCIL MEMBER LO) It is recommended that the City Council consider: (1) Adopting a resolution declaring May 6, 2023 the Day of Inclusion of the 141st anniversary of the passage of the Chinese Exclusion Act and recognizing and honoring the month of May 2023 as Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month; and (2) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
