CM Avila seeks consensus from Council to: Direct Staff to prioritize the sidewalks and parkway areas around the school sites in our city to ensure a safe pedestrian experience for the children and their parents. This includes new improvements and landscape, as well maintaining areas that have already been improved. Include it as a budget request if necessary. 2. Direct Staff to establish a clear understanding on jurisdictional responsibilities between Caltrans and the City on all freeway interface areas around the freeway corridors in our City. This applies to clean up activities and infrastructure improvement such as drainage channels.
