17.B Discuss the Hemet Valley Bikeway Project (CIP 5696) Construction Bid 489 - 1164\nResults and Provide Direction Regarding the Appropriation of Additional\nFunds Necessary to Award the Construction and Construction\nManagement & Inspection Agreements\nStaff Report #23-012 - Pdf\nRecommendation:\nIt is respectfully recommended that the City Council:\nReview and discuss the Hemet Valley Bikeway Connect project work\ndone to date and the funding requirements to proceed with the\nconstruction of the project. If Council decides to proceed with allocating\nnecessary funds, staff recommends the adoption of the following\nResolution:\nA Resolution of the City Council of the City of Hemet, California,\nAwarding Granite Construction Company a Construction Agreement in\nthe Amount of $3,032,303, and Waiving any Minor Bid Irregularities, and\nAuthorizing the City Manager to Approve Additional Construction\nExpenditures not to Exceed 10% of the Contract Amount or $303,230,\nand Awarding Willdan Engineering a Construction Management and\nInspection Agreement in the Amount of $211,113.60, and Authorizing\nthe City Manager to Execute all Contract Documents, and Directing the\nFinance Director to Re-Appropriate $1,581,646.60 of ARPA Funds From\nCIP 5743, and Authorizing the City Clerk to Record the Notice of\nCompletion Upon Acceptance of the Work by the City Engineer all for\nthe Hemet Valley Bikeway Project, CIP 5696, Federal Aid Project No.\nATPSB1L-5186(018).
