H. AUTHORIZATION TO RECEIVE THE CALIFORNIA AUTOMATED PERMIT PROCESSING GRANT AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION The City Council is requested to receive the California Automated Permit Processing Grant and authorize the City to enter into a grant agreement with the California Department of Energy to comply with Senate Bill 379. Recommendation: The City Council is requested to: 1. Receive the California Automated Permit Processing Grant (Cal-APP) in the amount of $40,000; 2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into a grant agreement with the California Department of Energy; and 3. Amend the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 budget to demonstrate the increased revenue and costs associated with the implementation of the solar permitting system.
