3.7 Approval of 9-1-1 Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related Services in Fiscal Year 2023-2024. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council: A. Approve the Agreement for 9-1-1 Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related Services in Fiscal Year 2023-2024 with Emergency Ambulance Services (EAS) in an amount not to exceed $1,544,191 in FY2023-2024 and authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement including any non- substantive amendments as determined by the City Attorney; and B. Authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal of the Agreement for a second year for $1,601,001 in FY2024-2025, if the Ambulance RFP process has not concluded by the end of FY2023-2024; and C. Authorize the City Manager to reject the renewal of the City’s current Agreement with FALCK/Care Ambulance; and D. Authorize City staff to initiate a formal Request for Proposal process for 9-1-1 Emergency Ambulance Transportation and Related Services.
