5. FISCAL YEAR 2022 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS GRANT (AFG) PROGRAM AWARD AND BUDGET ADJUSTMENT Request the City Council adopt Resolution No. 2023-105 authorizing the Escondido Fire Department to accept FY 2022 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) funds; authorize the Fire Chief or his designee to execute grant documents on behalf of the City; and approve budget adjustments needed to spend grant funds. The Department of Homeland Security has authorized the City of Escondido to spend its funds on equipment to protect the public. The Fire Department will receive $104,992.72 from this award.
