B. CONSIDERATION OF MAKING THE MAYOR AND MAYOR PRO TEMPORE TERM EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1 THROUGH DECEMBER 31 OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR Staff Recommendation This item has no staff recommendation. If the City Council moves to change the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tempore term to be effective January 1 through December 31 of each year, the City Council should direct the City Clerk to update Section 4.2.1 of Policy and Procedure 1201-11 (City Council Meeting and Operating Procedures) to reflect the change.
