DISCUSSION AND DIRECTION REGARDING ASSEMBLY BILL 2979 (2024) (“AB 2979”)\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Discussing and providing direction on AB 2979 entitled “Income taxation: exclusion: victim\ncompensation” (an act relating to taxation);\n(2) If desirable, signing a letter on behalf of the City either in support of or opposition to AB\n2979; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
