DISCUSSION AND DIRECTION REGARDING SENATE BILL 1094 (2024) (“SB 1094”)\nIt is recommended that the City Council consider:\n(1) Discussing and providing direction on SB 1094 entitled “Pupil instruction: course of study:\nsocial sciences: civic engagement” (an act to amend Sections 51210 and 51220 of the\nEducation Code, relating to pupil instruction);\n(2) If desirable, signing a letter on behalf of the City either in support of or opposition to SB\n1094; and\n(3) Taking such additional, related, action that may be desirable.
