8. APPROVE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER: ELECTRICAL UPGRADING ON WELL NO.\n9 PROJECT – F2M22-36, C2M23-16, M2M24-43\nOn March 27, 2023, the City Council awarded a contract to Faith Electric LLC for the\nElectrical Upgrading on Well No. 9 Project in an amount not to exceed $359,552.00. In\norder to complete the planned replacement of the motor control center Southern California\n5\n3-11-24\nEdison is requiring the City to underground the existing electrical service to Well No. 9.\nChange Order No. 1 includes not only undergrounding the SCE electrical service, but also\nthe demolishing an existing SCE pad and enclosure, removing and replacing the existing\nconduit to the new motor control center panels, and installing new concrete pads with\nprotective bollards.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve Change Order No. 1 for the Electrical\nUpgrading on Well No. 9 Project, increasing Contract No. C2M23-16 with Faith Electric\nLLC by $117,284.45.00, bringing the total revised contract value to an amount not to\nexceed $476,836.45; direct the Finance Director to appropriate funds from the Water Fund\nBalance and allocate to account number 401.80.8884.92135; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
