7. APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR THE 626 GOLDEN STREETS\nMISSION TO MISSION 2024 EVENT – F2M23-16, C2M24-17, M2M24-42\nOn July 24, 2024, the City Council approved the intent to participate in the 626 Golden\nStreets Mission to Mission event and authorized the City Manager or Designee to execute\nthe Memorandum of Understanding. The SGVCOG was successful in securing $400,000\nin Proposition C funds to host the 626 Golden Streets Mission-to-Mission, including\noutreach, pre-event planning, and day of event staging costs. The Event programming\nrequires a set amount of in-kind or local fund match. The SGVCOG and the cities have\npartnered together to host the Event as a contiguous open street event on Sunday, April\n28, 2024, from South Pasadena to San Gabriel. The City of Alhambra will provide a\n$22,500 in-kind match and will be eligible for up to $10,000 in program funding. Each\nagency will host activities in their hub. Alhambra’s hub will be in downtown Alhambra in\nconjunction with the Farmers Market and Eco Fair.\nRecommended Action: City Council approve a Memorandum of Agreement, subject\nto final language approval by the City Manager and City Attorney, by and between the San\nGabriel Valley Council of Governments (SGVCOG) and the cities of Alhambra, San\nGabriel, and South Pasadena to share resources and host the 626 Golden Streets Mission\nto Mission event, on April 28, 2024; authorize the City Manager to execute said MOA; and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
