D. Storm Water Catch Basin Award of Contract to United Storm Water Inc. for\nthe Storm Water Catch Basin Upgrade Project Phase II, Project No. 49018 and\nAdoption of Resolution No. 2024- 08\nAs part of the City' s Fiscal Year 2023- 2024 Capital Improvement Program, the\nCity Council approved the Storm Water Catch Basin Upgrade Project Phase II.\nThe project consists of retrofitting sixty- six ( 66) storm water catch basins with\nAutomatic Retractable Screen trash capture devices to help reduce the amount of\ntrash entering the stormwater system and to the waterways. The project is funded by\nSafe Clean Water Funds in the amount of $ 150, 000. United Storm Water Inc.\nsubmitted the lowest responsive bid in the amount of $188, 600. Staff is requesting\nto appropriate an additional $ 60, 000 in Safe Clean Water Funds to increase the total\nproject budget to $ 210, 000.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:\n1. Approve the plans and specifications for the Storm Water Catch Basin Upgrade\nProject Phase II —Project No. 49018; and\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a contract with United Storm Water, Inc.,\nfor the bid amount of $ 188, 600. 00. In addition, authorize an amount of\n18, 860. 00 ( 10%) as a contingency to cover the cost of unforeseen construction\nexpenses, for a total amount of $207, 460. 00.\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 2024- 08, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND THE FISCAL YEAR\n2023- 24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM BUDGET AND\nAPPROPRIATE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE STORM\n4\nSpecial & Regular Joint Meeting Agenda March 12, 2024\nWATER CATCH BASIN UPGRADE PROJECT PHASE II -\nPROJECT NO. 49018
