BY\nCONGRESS MEMBER SYDNEY KAMLAGER-DOVE (D-LOS\nANGELES)\nH.R. 6859 would grant federal recognition to the Gabrielino Tongva Tribal\nNation allowing them to take up to 300-acres of noncontiguous land into\ntrust as reservation land.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: If H.R. 6859 is signed into law, it would permit\nthe Gabrielino Tongva Tribe to go into any city in Los Angeles County,\nacquire that city's largest property, a retail shopping center, that city's\nlargest sales tax revenue generator, and place that land into trust.\nCouncilmember’s Agenda next page.
